Frequently Asked Questions
MobiGlow’s Steam Technology
Q. Will steam damage the paint on cars?
A. No, it will not. Our wash technicians are able to use their bare hands to wash your car without burning their hands. Paints made for cars are highly weather resistant and designed to endure extreme cold and heat. Steam is a form of gas. The very second steam is exposed to the atmosphere, the temperature of steam drops exponentially. In general, the temperature of the steam on the washing surface is 85°C (185°F). MobiGlow’s steam pressure is preset at 8 bar (116 psi). This is a relatively low pressure rate, but powerful and sufficient enough to wash various surfaces safely and efficiently.
Q. How much water is used to wash a car?
A. It takes 2 to 5 litres of water depending on the size of the car.
Q. How long does it take to wash a car?

MobiGlow’s Equipment
Q. I went 4x4ing this weekend and my car is really dirty. Will MobiGlow wash my car?
A. At this point in time, MobiGlow will not wash overly dirtied cars. We will be operating in the Downtown core in grocery stores and business establishments therefore we have an obligation to our partners to keep the area very tidy.
Q. What does MobiGlow use to power their equipment?
A. MobiGlow uses less than 20L of diesel to power our equipment for 10 hours of use. It turns out that gasoline is more volatile than diesel, not because of what its base consists of, but because of the additives it contains. In addition, equipment that uses diesel tend to be more fuel-efficient and produce less greenhouse gases.
